We're working with TransLink and our neighbouring municipalities to plan and design the Marine Drive RapidBus route, formerly known as the Marine-Main B-Line.

We are studying options for providing additional sports field inventory in Inter River Park, while minimizing impacts to the environment, adjacent uses, and neighbours. The park is a regionally significant, multi-venue athletic facility with multiple sports fields, a lacrosse box, and a bike skills park, and is connected by popular trails, with access to adjacent natural features such as Lynn Creek. This consultation closed on Wednesday, July 12, 2017.

Following over a year of consultation with community members and local stakeholders, we are ready to present our emerging vision and key elements of the draft Maplewood Plan.

We are working with community members to help make the Maplewood area a complete and balanced community with thriving local businesses that reflect high environmental standards, and complement the community’s outstanding natural setting. The area will include a variety of housing options for all ages, incomes, and family circumstances, centred on a newly invigorated, walkable Maplewood Village Centre.

Overhead power lines along Keith Road will be moved undergroundWe have been awarded up to $317,000 from BC Hydro to ‘underground’ power lines at the location of the new Keith Road Bridge, now under construction.

Between now and July 2016, the William Griffin artificial turf field and lower parking lot will be closed three times to allow for work on the facility parking lot. The new Keith Road Bridge hit a major milestone today with the addition of the first steel girders for the new span over Lynn Creek. When completed, the new bridge will feature five lanes of traffic, as well as separated bike lanes and sidewalks on both sides. The bridge will lead to a more efficient commute, improve east-west connectivity, and improve safety for cyclists and pedestrians.

Metro Vancouver is relocating and replacing an aging and seismically vulnerable watermain pipe beneath Capilano Road.
